1930s Portraits in Courage Gala

In 1930, the Haven Hubbard Memorial Home was bustling with new residents, new programs, and new campus developments. Founded in 1922 by Arminia Hubbard, the home fulfilled her late husband Haven’s dream to provide affordable housing and loving care to the elderly.

Fast forward a century, to 2023, and the Haven home, now known as Hamilton Grove, continues to bustle with new residents, new programs, and new campus developments! One development under way is the creation of a Centennial Serenity Garden for the enjoyment of residents and their visitors.

Please join us for dinner and dancing at 6:30 p.m. (EDT) on March 22, 2024, at The Blue Heron at Blackthorn in South Bend as we take a fun look back to 1930 and all that decade brought, while looking forward to the next year at Hamilton Grove. Expect a few surprises! We’ll present a “Portrait in Courage” Award to a select few who exemplify the courage of Arminia Hubbard in their work, church, family, or community. Funds raised from the Gala will go toward completion of the Centennial Serenity Garden and future garden expansion and upkeep.

Haven’s dream has become our mission, and with your support we will continue moving forward into the next century of service! Click here for sponsorship opportunities and ticket sales. For more information about the gala, please email Foundation@greencroftcommunities.org or call 574-537-4708.
