Midwinter Lecture: The Mennonite and the Saint

Over the seven years (1990-1997) Marilyn and I were in Calcutta, I met Mother Teresa more than twenty-five times.  The common work of the Missionaries of Charity and Mennonite Central Committee in helping the poor of Calcutta brought us together. In addition, I frequently escorted visitors to meet Mother. Each year, we attended a birthday Mass in her honor at one of the Catholic churches. I will show pictures and tell stories of Mother Teresa as I came to know her. Mother Teresa became Saint Teresa of Calcutta in September 2016.
