Betty Finds Her People at Oak Grove
Betty Brubaker and her husband went to the very first open house that Oak Grove offered back in 1999. They were impressed. They immediately picked out their apartment and called the kids to tell them they were moving.
Day one felt like home. They set out about introducing themselves to every resident and staff member that they could find.
"You're not lonesome! You don't have to be by yourself unless, of course, that's what you want," Betty says. She says that she still loves living at Oak Grove, "All of the activities and different people. It's just where I want to be."
