Appreciation for Walnut Hills Board Members

As a non-profit organization, Walnut Hills Retirement Community in Walnut Creek is governed by a dedicated group of local community leaders who generously volunteer their time to the Board of Directors to provide direction for continued growth.

The Board’s leadership ensures that Walnut Hills remains a strong, faith-based, and resident-centered community, committed to providing exceptional care and services to seniors.

One of those dedicated leaders, Garrett Roach, an attorney from Millersburg, recently completed 10 years of service on the Walnut Hills Board of Directors, most recently serving as Board Chair.

“Over the past decade, Garett has played a pivotal role in guiding Walnut Hills through the evolving landscape of healthcare and senior living,” said Hugh Davis, CEO of Greencroft Communities. “We are grateful for Garett’s leadership, insight, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our residents and helping shape Walnut Hills into the thriving, compassionate community it is today.”

As Walnut Hills looks ahead, the organization welcomes Jason Coblentz of Dundee as the new Board Chair.

“Jason brings a deep understanding of our mission and a strong vision for the future,” said Davis. “Under his leadership, Walnut Hills will continue to foster a vibrant, loving community where seniors can thrive. We are excited for the journey ahead and the continued success of our organization.”

Other community leaders who serve as members of the Walnut Hills Board of Directors are Darlene Finzer of Stone Creek, Deborah Hershberger of Sugarcreek, Carita Keim of Millersburg, Jodi Miller of Walnut Creek, and Paul Shetler of Millersburg.

The Board of Directors also includes resident representatives who help the Board and Walnut Hills leadership understand resident perspectives on key decisions. The three resident representatives are Terry Burkhalter, Jake Mast, and Lee Mummau.

Walnut Hills continues to evolve and grow and remains committed to a mission of enriching lives through compassionate care and innovative services. With strong local leadership and a dedicated team, the organization is poised to remain a welcoming and thriving community for years to come.
