Southfield Village breaks ground on independent living expansion

Southfield Village is excited to announce the groundbreaking of phase two of its independent living expansion, The Pines at Southfield Village. This new development will introduce 16 luxury Craftsman-style villas, offering maintenance-free living in a thoughtfully designed community.

"We are thrilled to expand our independent living offerings with The Pines at Southfield Village," said Hugh Davis, President and CEO of Greencroft Communities. "Our goal is to provide beautiful, maintenance-free homes in a community that fosters connection, security, and active living. This expansion represents our continued commitment to enhancing the lifestyle and well-being of our residents."

The new villas will range from 1,289 to 1,900 square feet, featuring open floorplans with two bedrooms, two baths, extra-large two-car garage, owner’s closet storm shelter, and patio. Residents will have the opportunity to personalize their homes with custom features and upgrades, ensuring their new space meets their unique needs and style preferences.

As part of a faith-based, nonprofit continuing care retirement community for ages 55+, The Pines at Southfield Village offers an array of amenities, including access to a fitness center, exercise classes, salon, resident gardens, and lifelong learning programs.

Located on the Southside of South Bend, The Pines at Southfield Village offers a peaceful country setting with easy access to shopping, dining, and city conveniences. With availability limited, prospective residents are encouraged to reserve their homesites early. For more information, contact Tom Gerard, Marketing Associate at 574-849-2179.

Southfield Village is a 23-acre campus, home to over 100 residents in a variety of living options, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, and short-term rehabilitation.
